New Eyes - Bible Study Week 3

I know this week's Bible study is going to bless you, so get ready. Download your worksheet from your email, set aside about 30 minutes, and prepare to be moved by the word of God. This week our sisters Janice, Rhonda, Sharon, and Ilka joined me for Lunch & Learn. We had an amazing time. (A couple of husbands joined us, too, and they can't stop talking about the lesson either.) So, let's get into the lesson. I've uploaded both parts for you this week because many of you prefer to watch the entire study in one sitting. Don't forget, after watching, share your insights here on the blog. I can't wait to hear from you.

Need to register for the course? Go here.

Your Alabaster Tip of the Day:

Close your physical eyes today. Be deliberate about spending uninterrupted time "not seeing" so that God can open the eyes of your heart. Close your eyes and wait on the Lord to give you insight.

Hey Michelle
The Bible Study really touched my heart this week. Although I participated in it this time, after hearing the audio, I thought about how much God really does have in store for me. God wants my heart so that he can care for me, all of us really and truly. As I listened to the portion of the video about the story of Noah, I realized that Noah, although described as a righteous man, that I am a righteous woman. Why? Because I am the righteousness of God. He gave HIS son for my transgressions. WOW! God knew already that I was better than just "good enough", I was chosen by God a long time ago. I was favored by HIM even way back when, before my time. God knew that I could be better than what i ever thought I could be. He knew that I could be more, better than "good enough". God will give us the space to move towards HIM. But what think is so special is that HE will move me when I take the first steps. He watches the path that I voluntarily take towards HIM and waits, just like a loving mother waits for that child to take those first steps. And then God takes my hand and moves me out of danger, HE saves me from hurt, harm and danger. He already knows where He wants me to be so that I can FULFILL HIS PURPOSES that He has already laid out for me. When I let the eyes of my heart open, God is there to protect me under HIS shadow. Thanks be to God for infinite wisdom and his faithfulness to me. I'm on the path, with a long way to go...but at least I'm on the path. Be blessed my sisters out there. Let us know your thoughts too. Dr. Michelle wants to hear from you.

Hi Ilka,

I'm still on a high from the study too. I love the challenge to rise above being "good enough." And that's what Noah was called to do, although he made some serious mistakes after the flood. The point is God doesn't need average - "good enough" - Christians. He needs people who are willing to be set-aside, like Noah and his family, and to be chosen for "greater works."

The past two years have been my shut in time, just like God shut Noah in the ark. I was shut in spiritually, really listening and getting instructions from God about my next level. That's my prayer for sisters. But you gotta want to go to the next level. You gotta desire to be shut in your ark while God puts things in place around you.

Are you ready to go to the next level, sisters? Are you ready to be shut-in?

I an experiencing that shut-in feeling, however it is more than a feeling. It is an urgency to sit with God all the time. I must laugh at myself when I get frustrated, because I know what "it" is. "It" is God saying..GO..GO..GO..ILKA! Sometimes it hurts when God takes us out of our comfort zone, but I think it is necessary. Forgivingness, and Dwelling with God our Father, and Seeking His face are "out- of- the- comfort-zone" actions".However they are necessary. When God places a burden on our hearts it is not to hurt us but to move us closer to HIM. Dr. Michelle, your website has been a blessing, and I think it has raised the awareness of the urgency that we must have to chase after God. It is ordinary, but extraordinary women like yourself that God has placed in my path to shake me up. You can believe, my life is upside down right now, but in a good way. Again I join with you in the challenge for ALL women to reach deep inside, let God turn you upside down and allow yourself to breathe in HIS love that he has for you and to live life freely, for that is why Jesus was sacrificed for us, that we might have freedom in HIM!

Can't stop Ilka. I'm all in right now and the Lord is speaking to me:

See, most people put on their running shoes, get all pumped up for running after God (just like we do with new year resolutions), and then after mile 1 or 2 (or week 1 or 2), they start slowing down. And eventually they stop altogether and go back home.

The race is given to the swift or the strong but to those who endure!

I might break every other resolution I have, but this one, this ONE about my God and my life in HIM, I will NOT break it.

Chasing after you Lord.

Desparately seeking some sisters who will run, forever, who will shout to others along the journey, to "come one" we don't have time to waste.

Chasing after you Lord.

This week's Bible Study was awesome. The part that greatly blessed me was about Noah, and how God had to shut him in. I'm sitting here in my office praising God, because an issue I've been dealing with has become so clear to me. I now see (spiritually) exactly what God has been doing over the past year in my life. He has had me spiritually shut-in to prepare me for purpose. I've lost a lot of friends lately, but I understand that God only removed those things and people that served as distractions in my life.

And if I'm truly honest about it, life has been so much better.

You know, one thing I've learned is to look through the eyes of my heart, and not with the set on my face. Looking through natural eyes will always cause us to see things completely opposite of the way God intends for them to be.

Awesome, awesome, awesome lesson this week! Looking forward to next week.

I had to review the video several times...GLORY! What an awesome God we serve and what an awesome Word He imparts. Thank you,Michelle, for your courage to move to a higher level and for trying to bring your sisters along with you. I even referenced your video to someone I had an opportunity to witness to, I pray he will hear God's voice/answer in this study. Bless you and the ladies that joined you...

I WAS BLESSED ENOUGH TO BE ONE OF THE LADIES TO TAKE PART IN THIS WEEK'S BIBLE STUDY. FOR A VERY LONG TIME I FELT IN MY HEART THAT I HAD A PURPOSE. BUT THEN I PULLED AWAY FROM THE LORD AND TRY TO DO THINGS MY WAY.I THINK ONE OF THE REASONS WAS THAT I IN MY HEART KNEW GOD HAD PURPOSE FOR ME MY OWN INHERITENCE AN INHERITENCE I COULD NOT EVEN BEGIN TO IMAGINE BUT I DIDN'T FEEL WORTHY OF RECIEVING IT I DIDN'T BELIEVE I WOULD HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO RUN THIS RACE I WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND THE DIRECTIONS GOD GAVE ME BUT ON EXXCEPTING LOVE THAT GOD TRUELY HAS FOR US AND NOW KNOWING WHAT FOR ME IS FOR ME AND GOD HAS GIVEN ME THE INSIGHT TO SEE IN THE SPIRITUAL RELM MY SOUL IS SO EXCITED THE LOVE GOD HAS FOR US CANNOT BE MATCHED BY ANYTHING OR ANYBODY NO MORE WORRIES WE ARE BLESSED WITH A PERFECT DRIVER THAT KNOWS ALL THE DIRECTIONS.THANK YOU LORD PLEASE MY SISTERS IN CHRIST SHARE YOUR FEELINGS WE ALL HAVE SOMTHING TO OFFER SPREAD THE LOVE. GOD BLESS

Once again the Bible Study caused me much introspection. I am still forgetting the things that are behind me and really dwelling on what God has in store for me.
I am so grateful about " Behold" and the things that God is speaking to me, about me. One of the things that he began to speak to me about,is my seriousness. I tend to be a very serious person, No, I do not let my hair down, rarely ever, really, truly, relaxing. That is not the life that God has designed for me. So now I am asking him, how do I let it go and be the woman of God he has called me to be. I am excited about examining my own self, and peeling back the layers of the onion.
Thanks again for this wonderful study, growth is never easy, but worth it!

OMG...Ladies, I too have a new outlook on the story of Noah! I am in the middle of my shut-in experience right now! God is doing a new thing in me! I am so far from the woman I was 6 or 8 months ago. I was stuck in a serious rut. But, the chase is on!!! I now hunger and thirst for my inheritance, promised to me by my Father who art in heaven! Hallelujah!!!

I totally agree with you, Ilka (my alabaster luke sister). God knew our end before our beginning and to know that no matter what, He loves us and wants whats best for us. I long to hear Him say "well done", what wonderful words!! It is my duty to do everything I can (plus more) to please Him. Week 3's bible study was a joy and blessing all in one. My heart was full and wanting more, God is just.... God and I love Him so much and to know that He loves someone like me, makes me feel so good inside. Love you guys, and thanks for being there walking in Christ with me.

I love the end of the worksheets that have me close my eyes and LISTEN TO WHAT GOD IS TELLING ME. Then, to write all the love and joy and peace and warmth that He sends to my mind is so GREAT that tears fall from my eyes. Strongholds are being broken in the name of Jesus! I love all my Alabaster Sisters! God Bless you all!

Dr. Michelle,
Your ministry is such a blessing to me. Each week I receive something that moves my spirt to grow closer to Kingdom living. I think of the story of Jesus at the home of Martha and Mary. I've heard that story many times, but the emphasis was always on Mary, who sat at Jesus' feet listening to Him. Your emphais was on Martha who invited Him into her home. It gave me a new perpective about how I greet people who come to visit. Also, the story about Noah. I thank you for the new insights you present when you teach.. God Bless you as you continue to teach and spread the word.

I am in a new walk with the Word. Some of the things that I have been doing this year is new to me. I'm no longer dwelling in the past. I'm trusting in the Lord no matter what the out come may be.
If this was last year I would not be writing this. I would just recievie what others have posted and not give a comment . God has open up my heart sight to see Great is in He is in me.
I thank God for the removal of fear.He wants me to do my best and He will do the rest

I'm chasing after you no matter what I have to do cause I need you more and more.....Got me singing and smiling on this one...God is soooooooooooooo good. This week has been a challenge, we had a blizzard and then my son got pneumonia and bruised his eye. WHEW! But God is still faithful...My baby is already healed and at the age of 5, he loves God too. When I look at his little faith, I say God I need that mustard seed faith to just say it and believe God for it. Those are my struggles, putting my total faith in God. I recall Dr. Michelle talking about the bank account...How did you know it was me...LOL!!!! I realize that a lot of times, I've been looking at the Word of God with my natural eyes and not looking through the new set of eyes that God has blessed me with. Now, Before I read the Word, I have to ask God to let me see His Word as He would see it. Loving my new set of eyes and definitely loving this bible study. So grateful that God has led me here to fellowship with my sisters in Christ. Love you all and thanks for breaking down the Word of God.

Now I'm going to end on another song that came to mind when I was listening to the audio: Open the eyes of my heart Lord, I want to see you, I want to see you, See you high and lifted up, shining in the light of your glory....as I sing HOLY, HOLY, HOLY. Be blessed my sisters, love you all.

@Roberta. . . I've been singing that song, too. We are so glad your son is doing well. I hate to see the babies sick. My daughter is almost 5 and she also has sure faith right now. Don't you just love it. They keep us on our toes and remind us to believe when our grown-up eyes get in the way. That's why the word says "a child shall lead you". I hadn't heard from you and was gonna put out an APB. Thanks for the song. I'm gonna post it to the Alabaster Woman Ministries facebook. That's a good one to listen to during the day.

@Sherri. . . I'm proud of you sis. You are definitely stepping out of your comfort zone. Keep pressing my sis. There's no turning back now. And remember to stay focused on God and make sure you are putting Kingdom first in all you do. It's gonna be ALL right. Yes, it is!

@Carrie. . . It's so good to hear from you on the blog. I'm glad you enjoyed the lessons and are seeing them with new eyes. Feel free to jump on in and teach us a thing or two. I know you have a word in you, sis.

@Rhonda. . . .I'm sooooo proud of you. I know you are tired, as you said. But now it's time for the Spirit and your spirit to do the work. It's time. I got your back.

@Lisa. . . hey sis. Missed you. I look forward to hearing from you each week. I just love your hunger right now. It keeps me on my toes. Thank you, thank you for reaching out and joining the community. Continue to close those eyes and meditate on what God is showing you. That's precious time just for you and God. Cherish it.

Talk with you all on Sunday night, 9:30 eastern. We are blessing out mothers!

HI MICHELLE, YOU REALLY ARE A BLESSING TO ME AND MANY OTHER WOMEN YOU COME IN CONTACT WITH. IT'S RARE PEOPLE LIKE YOU THAT MAKE THIS RACE A LITTLE EASIER TO RUN. MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. LOVE YOU LOTS..

Greetings my sisters in Christ,

Just want to let every woman present at Dr. Michelle's house for this week's Bible study know that you all had so many enlightening and awesome things to share.
I thank God for allowing Rhonda to speak about not being the victim in life situations, because often times as women we play victim instead of being the victor. I'm learning that no matter what it looks like I must trust God with my whole heat and see the thing come to pass with my spiritual eyes or the eyes of my heart that I'm enduringif you will.

We can no longer blame others as Sharon says for our down falls and short comings! God has equipped each and every last one of us who are taking part in this ministry to break forth and LIVE in our desired destiny!!!! No matter what type of job/career, car, house, apartment or married or single your status may be, our God accepts us just the way we are. He wants to pull out all the purpose in us to give birth to our dreams, visions and goals.
Oh Lord help my sisters and I on this evening and our spiritual leader of this bible study to believe you and see you with the eyes of our heart like never before. Give us wisdom, strength and courage to answer your call and to edify and build up your Kingom.

May God Bless us all collectively and individually ladies,

Robin
